Good Morning Good Morning 🙂
Cold but sunny morning, makes for a refreshing morning walk with the Gusman before work this AM.
Stuck In Love
I ended up enjoying Stuck in Love last night. The different story lines and relationships between family members were well done. With the exception of one element of the ending, I really appreciated that the movie was more honest and realistic than most romantic comedies/dramas tend to be to the challenges we all face in love and our families [even though I don’t know if the movie technically falls into the romantic comedy genre].
Once the movie ended — I enjoyed half of my red velvet cake piece (saved some for tonight) and watched some food network with the furballs until it was time for bed.
Man I am one exciting lady everyone!
This Morning
Zach is on the East coast, and we live in the Mountain time zone, so I had a text come in from him about 330 this AM. I don’t remember fully waking up to the text, but I was going in and out of weird dreams for the rest of the morning. So by the time my 6 AM alarm went off, I was a bit thrown off but ready to seize the day :).
I did a bit of YOGA for runners before getting the furball out for his morning walk — the two of those activities being the extent of my morning exercise. I have been really working on listening to my body and respecting the healing/tapering, and my body is responding well :). I am planning on some more light sweatin’ this afternoon — but nothing too crazy. This not having a work out schedule has been really beneficial for me this week. I am loving the flexibility for a few days 🙂
And now — it’s all about my apple, yogurt, and work. 🙂 WooHoo!
Question of the Morning: What’s your favorite work breakfast?
I need some new ideas every one . . .
Oh my goodness I love your tattoo!!! I really want a tattoo and that one is so cute. My favorite breakfast lately is overnight oats. Love them!!
Overnight oats is something I could totally bring to work too, interesting!
Lol, I love your tattoo also! What a great idea….
Fav breakfast is usually something simple, whole grain toast with peanut butter but if I have time oatmeal with cinnamon, raisins and nuts.
I love both — and I really don’t know why I’ve convinced myself I can’t do these things during the week as well! lol
How’s your ankle? I’m loving yoga right now
It’s doing much better! I may even attempt a very slow, garminless run after work!
Good luck! I’m so jealous, I’m headed to therapy after lecture today 😦
Haha your furballs are too cute! I like how they coordinate their coats. Ha. Ha. <–ignore that dorky-ness. My favorite work breakfast right now is oatmeal. It's usually still in the 40's when I get to work so I like something nice and warm 🙂
Oh and YAYYYY for listening to your body. I know how freaking tough it is!
I like to take smoothies to take to work! Lots of berries, almond milk and vanilla protein powder!
My husband swears by smoothies.
Every morning at work I eat home made granola bars made from all natural ingredients – Oats, flaxseed, slivered almonds, sesame seeds, sunflower seeds, peanut butter, honey, dried fruit, and a few other things. They are very good! Lately I’ve been using dried cherries, but you can use any kind of dried fruit you want.
I just started making a new recipe that I posted today that’s also really good. It doesn’t have as many seeds or nuts, though.
Your recipe today did sound AMAZING. I’ve been saying I wanted to do granola bars for so long but never do!
For me the biggest pain is buying all the ingredients from the bulk section of the grocery store. It took forever. But now that I always have it on hand it’s no big deal. On occasional Sundays I make enough to last a couple weeks.
They last that long?
They do! I don’t know if it’s because I wrap them in tin foil or what, but yeah they last a good long time for me. At least the honey almond power bars (not the ones I posted today).
The baked bars I posted today I keep refrigerated because they have eggs in them. I’m not sure how long they last. I’m going to guess a week or so because of the eggs.
greek yogurt and granola till the end off time!!! I also like to mix some peanut butter into said greek yogurt
I LOVE me some green yogurt and granola 🙂 It’s a fav — but I’ve never added the PB!
Imma gonna blog about my recent breakfast creation soon. Stay tuned!
