Stuck In Love and A New Sleep Routine

Good evening and Happy Bachelorette Night number 2 for this lady :).

A long and wild day at work called for some YOGA, foam rolling,  a nice glass of champaign (the bottle from Zach and I’s wedding), a nice fire, and a movie. [I am rocking at my goals this week :)]

I only just started it, but here is a quick quote from Wikipedia:

Stuck in Love is a 2012 American independent romantic-drama film, directed and written by Josh Boone. The film stars Jennifer ConnellyGreg KinnearLily CollinsNat Wolff and Logan Lerman. It focuses on the complicated relationships between a successful novelist, played by Kinnear, his ex-wife (Connelly) and their collegiate daughter (Collins) and teenage son (Wolff).

Nothing like a chick flick, bubbly, a good Asain chicken salad with left over chicken from Whole Foods from yesterday

(i apologize the SLR is having some issues tonight. . . so it’s the little camera tonight)

and of course, some more Chex Mix.

Night two of bachelorette life:  success.

Babe — that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t come home though, ok? 🙂

My New Favorite Sleep Routine

Yoga for sleep  <— try it.  It will stretch, relax, and put you in a blissful, sleepy state :).

I’ve been doing this the past couple of nights before going to bed because I know I don’t sleep as well when Zach isn’t here.  I’ve done it before, and it really is the perfect little 10-12 minute routine to squeeze in before jumping into bed.  I love it 🙂

So now — it’s time to finish this movie, follow my Blues and Cards, and possibly eat some of the piece of red velvet cake that I may or may not have bought for dessert 🙂

Question of the Night:  Last good movie you saw?

I need recommendations!

  1. I saw Captain Phillips over the weekend, and before that I saw Rush. I recommend either of those (if you’re looking to go to the movies). However, for home viewing, my favorite Romantic Comedy type movie is “The Holiday.” I don’t know what it is about that movie but I absolutely adore it. It helps that I also love Jude Law. 😉

  2. Hey Ashley,

Have you seen The Descendants? It’s a few years old but I just watched it again by myself in my hotel and it made me really appreciate so many people and things in my life. And of course… Singles is my ultimate single girl flick!!

    • Hello love 🙂

I LOVE Descendents actually. . . and George, but that’s a different story. I haven’t seen Singles, but I am going to look into it now.

Nights like tonight REALLY make me wish you didn’t travel during the week so you could come up and have a bottle of wine and a watch a movie 🙂

  3. My husband is going out of town this weekend for the first time since we’ve been married (a year and a half) and I’m anxious how I will sleep without him! So I may be trying this yoga idea out to help relax me before bed. It’ll only be two nights… but I’m interested to see what the bachelorette life has to offer this weekend haha.

  4. I went and saw The World’s End a few weeks back. I’m big fans of Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Edgar Wright. I was lucky enough to meet them a few years back and have them sign my Shawn of the Dead DVD! They also did Hot Fuzz and the British sitcom Spaced. Check it! My all time fave movie though is Lost in Translation! Seen it?

  5. Thanks to Netflix my wife and I saw a movie a year or so ago called “Cashback”. Brit indie flick (no wait, come back, I swear!!) about a kid in University that gets dumped, and in his depression gets a severe case of insomnia (no really..come back!!) and decides to get a job to make use of his waking hours.

The movie was great, and not at all depressing as the description might make it seem. Give it a watch, I think you’ll enjoy it.
