I Made Dough

I’m switching things up tonight guys.  It’s getting crazy up in here.

Whole Foods Sushi and HGTV.

Who am I?!

Don’t worry guys — I am still the same lame-o sandwich and food network lover…but I decided I should look for some variety if I’ve got almost two weeks of bachelorette life starting next week.

Don’t forget to check out this afternoon’s post  and let me know where you’re reading from!

Highlight of the evening

You guys.  I tackled something pretty spectacular, to this girl, tonight.

100% homemade Apple pie.

That’s right.  The boy comes home tomorrow, so I did some baking to have something to welcome him home with.  Nothing like an apple pie to say Fall warmth, right?

Zach doubted my abilities — thinking I’d go the easy route of store bought pie crust.  Chop up some apples and put it in the oven.

Nope, not this girl.  Pie dough challenge accepted.  And defeated, if I do say so myself.

Who else is impressed here?  With the food processor, it was actually surprisingly easy.  Easy as pie one could say?

DSC_0363DSC_0358As always, I’ll save the recipe until Zach and I try the deliciousness tomorrow, but I’m pretty confident about this one :).   This one is going to be REALLY tough to wait for him.

That’s all I’ve got for tonight yall.  Time to pat myself on the back and relax for the evening 😉

Quesiton of the night:  Do you make your own dough?  Or have you ever?

First time for everything!

All Over The World

You all know I’m kind of obsessed with you, right?

I LOVE me my blog friends, and feel like I’ve somehow gotten a ticket into an amazing little group of people who totally get my weirdness — and guess what, some of them even LIKE my weirdness :).

One of my favorite things about wordpress is all the stats you can see at any given time.

  • how many people view your blog
  • where they’re at
  • unique viewers
  • most popular posts

The list goes on!

The one thing that never ceases to amaze me is the little map that shows where in the world people have clicked onto your blog from.

I appreciate each and every one of you so much — because quite frankly you’re now all my BFFS.

So today, I thought I’d play a quick little game.

This is to EVERYONE:  commenters, lurkers, bloggers, anyone 🙂

I would LOVE to see where every one is reading from — so I’m asking that people just leave a comment with where in the world they are reading from.

Denver, Colorado for this girl 🙂

So please,  just leave a comment letting me know where you’re at!  It’s super easy, even if you’re not a blogger.  I’m excited to see where this little Chocolate Medals has reached!

Chocolate ISN’T The Best Running Fuel?!

Random Fact of the Morning:  50% of people in the world have never made or received a phone call.

Good morning everyone 🙂  I have no idea why I spewed out the random fact this morning, but I thought it may be kind of fun to start it with something other than “Happy Tuesday!”  Not that I don’t want you to have a happy Tuesday, of course :).

Last Night

You all read about last night, right? Chick flick, chex mix, and sparkling water.  Yup.  I truly am living the life. 😉

I really need to think of something more, I don’t know, NOT A SANDWICH, for dinner tonight.  I have no idea why, but when I’m on my own, it’s all I want.  Anybody else weird like this?

This Morning

I went to bed pretty early last night and actually slept really well, so I was well rested by the time my 5:55 alarm went off (odd time, I know).

On the schedule this morning was an easy 5K, and that’s exactly what I did.

Workout of the Morning: Easy 5k on the treadmill

My legs felt great, but my chest and stomach were oddly tight.  Maybe it was all the chocolate I ate late last night? Hmmmph…  note to self for Sunday.

But I finished, which is the most important part.  One more 5k run, and then one 2 miler in St. Louis Saturday to shake out the legs.  WOOT!

And now — time for work.

Question of the Morning: Do you have one “meal” or something you can eat all the time?

Sandwiches.
