You know those times when you feel like you need a vacation when you come home from a vacation? I think Zach and I are suffering from that a bit this morning.
Our travels and flight yesterday were all without issue. We made it back to Denver a little after 6 PM, did some quick grocery shopping, picked up the LOUD pup, and then headed home for a healthy salad dinner and bad.
I think we made it back to the apartment by 830ish, and had dinner by 845. Waste no time.
We were in bed around 11 PM, but like I mentioned, did NOT feel fully rested by out 730 wake up call.
Thankfully, I had some fun plans this morning that inspired me to quickly get out of bed. I jumped out of bed and headed to the treadmill, planning to get in 4, but had a similar feeling to what I experienced the day BEFORE we left for vacation, so I choose to cut the run short at a 5k.
I met up with one of my oldest friends who was in town for the holiday, Ms. Jessica 🙂 for brunch at Paris on the Platte.
(Jess is the pretty lady to the right)
I was so wrapped up in fun and conversation that I didn’t take any pictures, but I had a veggie omelet and fruit that totally hit the spot.
I walked her back to her hotel, figuring I could use a few extra miles to make up for what I missed out on my run. It works itself out, right? 3 miles of walking is DEFINITELY greater than .9 miles running. At least for someone who isn’t feeling 100%.
And now, it’s more coffee, football, and relaxing/taking it easy for this lady this Sunday. And I am happy about that!
Thank you everyone for all the Thanksgiving love I’ve gotten this weekend :). Chocolate Medals will be back to normal business tomorrow, I promise 🙂
