My wonderful, amazing, thoughtful husband planned an oh-so-perfect overnight stay for us in Winter Park to celebrate our first anniversary Friday night.
I started my morning with a quick 5k. The weather was actually chilly, so it was the first run of the season that I actually felt the chill in my lungs. Quite the difference from the race in the high 90’s the previous weekend…
I made a batch of Gluten Free chocolate chip scones, and we were off for the evening in paradise.
We made it to the mountain around noon, and made a pit stop to hike up Berthoud Pass on our way to the resort. Half way up the mountain I realized, my phone had died.
As frustrating as that is technically, for the blog it means I lost all photos that I had taken through the morning, which was kind of a bummer. But at least Zach had some forethought and brought his d-slr.
Unfortunately Zach’s camera died after one shot on our hike. At least it was a good one.
The rest of our evening included a stop at a happy hour for drinks and a flatbread. Relaxing in the hotel. And a nice dinner out.
While I’d love to share the details with you guys, I guess it’s kind of nice that this little overnight away is really just between the hubby and myself. Not such a bad thing I assume 🙂
What was your last technical mishap? Frustrating!?
