Tea and Cookies

I’ve got a lovely new little evening ritual that I am LOVING.

I am really focusing on hydrating and balancing what I eat this week, and one way I’ve been doing that is an evening glass or two of tea.

…and cookies of course, but that’s besides the point.

My most recent obsession is the Sleigh Ride Tea {from last year, upps.  still good}.  It’s kept my little tummy and heart happy through 2 or 3 {or 6} episodes of Parenthood with the family each night.  I think I like this new little ritual – who needs wine, right?

{well, who needs wine until Saturday}….

Anybody else loving tea lately or have any good flavors they recommend me try?

Afternoon Stroll

Of course there was more to my evening than just tea and cookies!   After my run I sat and finally let myself catch up on some of your blogs while I enjoyed a carrot smoothie in the great outdoors.

Once the afternoon started getting away from us, Gusman and I had a nice little 2 mile walk to move the little legs.  All six of em 🙂

Eats

Snacked the afternoon away with some more carrots and salsa, because I didn’t get enough in the smoothie.

Followed by a tuna burger, grilled onions and toast + greens

Plus a side of sweet potatoes grilled with oil and maple syrup.  Holy delish — try it now.

Alright — so after a super wordy afternoon post, I’ve given you a picture heavy post.  Hope you don’t mind and have a GREAT Tuesday

  1. I am a tea fanatic and end every day with a cup of green tea, and start each morning with either Harney & Sons Paris tea or Earl Grey Supreme tea. I am a wee bit tea obsessed, so I love your new tradition!

  2. I usually have tea after dinner each night to signal that the eating is done. Which helps to stop snacking. I don’t have any favorite flavors for you, but I like tea with ginger in it.

  3. mhmm, your food looks so good! I love having tea in the evening to relax a bit. Celestial Seasonings has a Sweet Coconut Thai tea that tastes incredible.

  4. that tea pot is soooooo cuteeeeee. i drink chai tea on the reg at work (after my several cups of morning coffee) — one of my faves. i can’t get into the carrot juice or smoothie thing — i like mine green and carrot-free.
