Happy First Day of Spring everyone!
It’s a chilly morning here in Denver, but the sun is out and it should get warmer through out the day. Spring has definitely sprung her head and I couldn’t be happier. Hope it’s beautiful and springy where you are as well 🙂
This Morning
Gus man and I celebrated the first day of spring in the best way possible.
A beautiful walk in the hills of the Highland neighborhood!
I’ve grown to love our little Thursday morning ritual of long walks and slowly waking up. Ever since I got sick these rest days have been very important for me and my body, and I’m happy to include Gus in that little routine.
Denver was beautiful as always and woke us up nicely (well woke me up, Gus is currently fast asleep deep in the back of his crate. I think he thinks he’s hiding. . .)
Workout of the Day: Rest/Walk with Gus
Not a bad morning 🙂 Let’s back track to last night
Sandwiches and Brew Co
Last night was another standard Jara low key date night of sammies and Denver Brew Co.
Once again I went with the Tuna on an english muffin from Masterpiece Deli (the best) that I enjoyed with a Raspberry kolsh.
Zach was happy to be home knowing that there isn’t any travel in the foreseeable future. The poor boy has been all over the globe the past few months, but at least he’s been able to keep a good attitude about it and take advantage of it 🙂
We came home early to watch the St Louis Blues/Chicago Blackhawks game which unfortunately went ugly fast. . . oh well. The Blues are just fine to skate into the playoffs and that’s where the real fun begins.
I of course ended the evening the same way I have every other day this week. . .
And introduced the boy to them as well. . . It’s going to be a sad day when I grow sick of these cookies.
That’s all I have for yall this morning. I hope you get to get outside and enjoy the first day of Spring at some point 🙂
Question of the Morning: Does it feel like Spring where you are? How many rest days do you take, and do you completely rest or have some kind of easy activity normally planned for them?

it does NOT feel like spring here whatsoever. *meh*
It feels like spring today in Williamsburg, VA!! I’m so happy about it, too!! I LOVE walks as well and enjoy beautiful scenery while walking!! Nice pictures!!
Thanks hun! Glad you’re getting a little Spring yourself 🙂
Yes, it’s definitely nice! 🙂
Love your morning walk ritual. Perfect way to start the day. And YAY for spring!! I couldn’t be happier about that as well 🙂
Thanks it really is 🙂
I am so envious of your morning dog walks. My parents have a dog, but my fiancé and I don’t yet and I am dying for a little guy (or big guy) to do a nice walk like that! Happy first day of spring!
They’re a lot of work but totally worth it.
It actually feels like spring today! I’m definitely taking advantage of the great weather while it lasts. I usually do 1 rest day a week and try to get in a walk on that day because I’ll feel kind of restless otherwise.
That’s exactly how I am — I gotta move somehow!
I loved popping on over to your blog and seeing that you and your pup spent your first day of spring similar to ours. 🙂 And can you believe that I’ve lived in Denver for almost 3 years now and I still haven’t been to Denver Brew Co? Shame.
Whattt — we should have a meet up and change that 🙂
Spring is a very welcome change here too!
heck yes!
I really want to do travel nursing to Denver! It looks so awesome! I think I just want to go to every city other than Atlanta (not that I don’t like it here).
You so should! And let me know when you do 🙂
Will do! Sometime in the next year, haha. It’s one of the places on the top of my list, but we’re trying to go to Boston first!
Happy first day of spring to you too! It’s beautiful today here in maryland! Glad you’re getting to enjoy some nice spring weather too! 🙂
Enjoy the NorthEast Spring! 🙂
It’s a sunny and crisp day here in Tacoma, Washington–it’s definitely Spring!
Rest days? I’m “supposed to” have one a week, but lately my lazy bootay has even resting two (and even three!) days a week.
Looks like a lovely time! It’s gorgeous here today. I was thinking of running with a group tonight, but now I think I might want to run right away so I can enjoy the weather (and maybe a moscow mule)
I would be OK with that — do both, run to a moscow mule!
Cool bridge, and milk jug building. That’s not something you see everyday. Well, perhaps you see it every day 🙂
haha it’s tin man ice cream — the best ice cream I’ve ever had.
Yay for Zach being back and not traveling for a bit! I’ve had wayyyy too many rest days recently! Between the foot issues and now the sinus problems, I’m a hot mess. I almost prefer the foot issues because I can at least do some exercising. With my sinuses causing dizzy spells and nausea, exercise is a bad idea. So far today I’m feel okay, so I might be able to sneak a run in 🙂
Twin I’m so sorry you haven’t been feeling well — it’s the worst. And I can’t even imagine the sinus issues. I’ll keep sending you the healthy vibes!
Aww thanks love! Yesterday was actually much better- I snuck in a VERY light body weight work out just to make sure those dizzy spells didn’t come back haha. But I’m thinkin’ I can run today 🙂
It was SO springy today in NC, I loved it!
YAY!
That ice cream shop is looks sweet! I usually take 2 rest days a week (Fri & Sun; before and after the long run), and I enjoy these rest days to the MAX with as little movement as possible.
haha nothing wrong with that — I just get antsy! But I’m also not currently training so that could be why!
