What We Do When It’s Freezing

What’s something to do when it’s super cold all weekend?

Hit up the slopes 🙂

Our day started bright and early at 615 so that we could miss the powder hound traffic, and thankfully that’s exactly what we did.   Including a stop at the grocery store for gas and snacks/breakfast, we made it to Arapahoe Basin before 815.  Awesome!

The morning started cloudy and tough to see with dull light, but as you can tell by the pictures ended up sunny and quite perfect.

Gus was NOT about the PBR (please don’t think that we would ever actually let Gus have beer. . . )

I don’t know how Zach does it, but he managed to rally pretty flipping well today after 24 hours of travel and ski a good hard 4 hours.  Call me impressed.

Workout of the day:  SKIING 🙂

Saturday

After a relaxing morning, I headed to the airport to finally pick up the boy.  Zach’s flight got in about 2 PM which actually worked out really well.

To say the furballs were happy to have dad home is an understatement.

🙂

We hung around the house catching up on all the American TV he missed until our tummies told us it was time for dinner.  Per the traveling boy’s request, we hit up DBC and brought dinner along.

Last nights dinner may not have looked great, but man was it delicious.  A Cubano sandwich on the worlds best english muffin from Masterpiece Delicatessen.  I was in hog heaven.

And so was our begging pup.

Yeah — we both shared our dinners last night.  We’re such suckers.

And now it’s time to soak up the rest of my Sunday afternoon with the family.  I hope you all have had a great weekend and are staying warm wherever you are!
