Happy Monday everyone! While I’ll admit to being less than thrilled to be facing another Monday, yesterday and this weekend in general has me rebooted and ready to go. Minus a bit of a nagging in my throat, I am feeling rested and definitely improved!
My Sunday
I left you all yesterday after my run . . . well I’ll let you all in on how the rest of my day looked 🙂
Zach, the fur family, and I relaxed. . . drank a lot of tea, watched some Breaking Bad, football, and overall just chilled the heck out (we’re sometimes not very good at that).
Before we knew it, it was time for dinner, the only REAL meal I ate yesterday (I snacked my way through the afternoon) . . . and for those of you who follow me on Instagram, you know it was not a surprise meal 🙂
The only change up we did this week was add some greens (we accidentally bought way too much at the grocery store, so basically every meal will be including a side salad this week. No complaints here!
Monday Morning Tradition
In following the Monday morning tradition that may not be so great for me, but that I am loving — I slept in this morning :). With that said, I brought work out clothes to work with me, so I can be ready to go after work if I get the inspiration. but this morning I knew starting my week off with rest was more important.
We all know me — there’s a good chance I’ll lace up tonight 🙂
Man — I’m smiling just looking back at those pictures. Especially during ski season, Zach and I don’t relax like this very often. Let’s just say it was well appreciated by this girl!
Question of the Morning: Tell me all about your weekend! I always feel so disconnected over the weekends!
Looks like the perfect end to a fun weekend.
It absolutely was!
We did a lot of relaxing this weekend too-being banned from my gym + -4 degree temperatures really force you to stay inside and chil! Glad you enjoyed it!
Glad you enjoyed it too!! Sometimes we need it 🙂
I love your fur family! They are adorable. Your Monday morning tradition is wonderful as well–a great way to work ease yourself back into the daily grind.
Thanks hun! They are they best 🙂 And glad I’m not alone in my Monday morning tradition 🙂
Your weekend sounds great, I an not good at relaxing, I always feel should be doing something, but you are absolutely right, stopping to recharge once in a while is defeintely necessary!
I managed to Run, do pilates, study, not buy a bed, get my knitting machine working and take the christmas tree down…and also catch up with Sherlock (the program…not the person :-S)
LOL I am exhausted just reading that!
hehe 😀
I can almost remember what it was like before kids when I could actually chill on a weekend.
I got in 8 miles on Sat and a crazy yoga class on Sun. I am so sore from the latter. Ouch!
Be careful! It’s so close to the big day!
My weekend looked pretty much the same thanks to my cold 🙂
Hope you’re feeling much better!
I will never get tired of seeing that drool worthy pizza, glad you had a relaxing Sunday 🙂
haha I’m glad 🙂 I worry that I am boring, lol.
I didn’t open my computer that much while I was in Spain, but I’m glad I’m back here! Reading your blog always makes my Monday better. Great pictures! 🙂
Awwe seriously you’re too sweet hun 🙂
Perfect kind of weekend. That’s a great Monday tradition. 🙂 My roommate and I used to do Sleep-In Thursdays. We only got to sleep in about 15 minutes, but it was awesome.
15 minutes is absolutely worth getting excited for! I get excited for a snooze!
That is an awesome Monday morning tradition! This weekend was spent working and then a long run and some movie watching!
I kind of miss my weekend long runs!
It looks like a cozy weekend…I feel I am in need of a day like that soon. I slept in this morning by mistake, at least my husband was home and we got the girls ready together…I was still 30 minutes late for work…ah well, what can ya do!
Glad you had such a great weekend. We had a wonderful one too. I hope you have a great Monday night and get to lace up=)
I definitely did get to lace up, and am thankful for it! 🙂 Glad you had a great weekend as well!
I took the two days after New Year’s off, and that’s pretty much what my couch looked like, except I have two cats and a sheltie! Hope you were able to relax.
We definitely were, thank you 🙂
