And just like that Christmas break is coming to an end.
Us Jara’s decided to end it in style.
We headed up to Winter Park with our favorite neighbor friends and the pups bright and early this morning.
Not of course until I squeezed in a quick treadmill run at the unGodly Sunday hour of 530 AM.
We all left about 630, the boys beyond excited about a 10 inch powder day. We got to the mountain before the lifts open at 830 so the boy and I went back to our favorite Winter Park stop, Goody’s.
A bacon breakfast crepe, lemon poppyseed muffin and coffee split between the two of us. Yum.
Despite my first run resulting in a ski losing yard sale, we all enjoyed a beautiful day on the mountain.
Not a terrible way to wrap up vacation. I promise by tomorrow I’ll be back to normal computer posting, but until then I am loving this iPhone!
question for the day: New Year’s Eve plans? Anybody got any?
Your post always have food porn, lol. Great time thought!
I didn’t know you could take your pup with you on the slopes.
Sounds like a great time, minus the yard sale…ouch!
No new year plans here…hubby is away so I’m going to celebrate early in the evening after the girls go to bed. Well, I guess I’m celebrating in the afternoon with a 5k Resolution Run!
looks like you’re keeping very active as usual π
No New Years plans as of yet. I don’t think I ever plan anything. I’m so boring….
Oh that breakfast looks delicious! What is the weather like in Colorado? It’s below zero up in South Dakota now. We’re all freaking out & not wanting to go outside!
Do you guys have the winter park season pass??? is that why you keep going there?? I have the Abasin/keystone/breck pass! Also, no official new years eve plans, just hanging out with the boyfriend and whatever we decided to do. It’s between going out to a low-key bar or game night with a bunch of friends.
We’re thinking sushi then to a house party, then a New Year’s Day 5k in downtown stl!
So jealous! Miss you guys already.
Man, I don’t know how you do it on the treadmill. I struggle getting onto it every time! lol
New Year’s is pretty low-key. My family and I stay in and watch Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, and then pop some apple cider. π
It’s much easier when I’m exhausted and don’t have to think about it π
Lemon poppyseed muffins are my absolute favorite!! Have fun on vacation π
You and me both!
Keep on livin the dream! No NYE plans, we usually hang out and watch it on TV. I have trouble staying up late nowadays, and the roads are always crazy, and cops everywhere, and all the bars charge a butt load of money just to get in. Not worth it.
Amen to all of that. We may or may not have fallen asleep at 11 for 2013. Our goal is to just make it to Midnight. No guarantees…
It’s a lofty goal indeed for us old folks!
Fun! We are choosing to stay home and relax for New Year’s Eve but there is a big party happening that night. We just want something low-key instead of driving for an hour and a half, surrounded by a ton of people and drinking way too much. Oh no, I’m getting old!
What are you doing for New Year’s Eve?
We aren’t doing anything! Movies and a nice meal — with our little fur family π And I am completely A-OK with that.
That sounds perfect to me. π
We’re going to a friend’s for NYE…food, fun, and dirty minds playing cards against humanity. π
LOL love both of those games!
