I don’t know why this didn’t post this AM…my apologies guys!
You all remember when I made goals for the week on Monday? One thing I specifically planned out was 6 runs, at least 3 longer than 4 miles (1 longer than 4…Sunday?!).
Welp, this morning I crossed off my 5th run for the week. Which means, REST DAY TOMORROW! And I couldn’t be more thankful. I was feeling great last night, and I’m still feeling good, but my mind and body need a day away from the treadmill. Looking forward to some peaceful yoga (I did do some yoga for runners last night as well, helped a bit) and relaxing for my Friday. Who’s with me?
This Morning
As I mentioned, I crossed off my 5th run of the week late this morning (Thank you late Thursdays). This was one of those runs that you break into minute breaks. Each minute I gave myself a little pep talk, and because I had already had my 3 runs 4 or more, I told myself that at each 10 minute interval, if I was REALLY struggling I could stop.
Welp, I didn’t.
Workout of the Morning: 4 miles slow and steady
Oh yeah…
Maybe these were part of the reason I struggled on my run this morning?
Nahhhhh!
Thank goodness it’s almost Friday 🙂
Question of the Morning: What are you thankful for this Thursday?
I’m thankful that this work week will be ending shortly! I need a break man! I wish I had Monday off though…
Doesn’t it SUCK that we have to work Monday?!? Kind of a buzz kill. We leave for STL at 6 AM on Christmas Eve. Yuck.
It IS a buzz kill. Aww man, 6AM! That’s rough. But at least that means you’ll get to STL earlier in the day!
Exactly! Our family does a big Christmas eve gathering, so it was important that we got there!
Um, I want all the desserts! Yum! I just found your blog and I can’t wait to read more=)
Awwe glad you found it!! Please explore 🙂
Those treats look so delicious! We had a pot luck at work yesterday so I made myself work out extra hard last night – defiantly paid off because I feel wonderful today.
LOL — it’s always worth it after a good work out!
I’m thankful for a little warmer weather and being able to run healthy!
Amen to that!
I’m thankful I’m not working tonight!
Amen to that!
oof I know I’ve definitely had a couple of those runs before. good job on completing your 4 miles, it’s all about tricking yourself into thinking you don’t actually have to run the whole thing 😉
Exactly! Short goals!
I’m thankful for inspiring people and the chance to encourage one another! Great job on meeting your objectives thus far.
Awwe thanks 🙂 I appreciate it!
