Anybody else having a good day?
Today was very laid back at work, which always puts me in a good mood. And on top of it, I think I have finally rehydrated myself. I have been vigilant about getting copious amounts of H2O the past couple of days and the perpetual exhaustion, fatigue and minor head ache that I’ve been dealing with is officially gone. YAY!
I even went for a second run tonight because Zach was working when I got home and I didn’t want to bug him…and I felt good so I was inspired.
Workout of the Evening: 3 miles, speed work
- 10 minute progressive warm up (6.2-7.0)
- 10 minutes of intervals, 1 minute at 8.0, 1 minute at 6.0
- finished up randomly until hitting 3 miles right after 26 minutes.
I ended the run still feeling great and SO thankful to be feeling strong.
Why I Built Up an Appetite
Yes…need I say more? While I was at work today Zach pulled out the stops and prepared a HUGE lasagna for us for dinner tonight.
Seriously, we will be eating lasagna for weeks. And I am A-OK with that. I’ll ask Zach for a recipe and have it back to you guys ASAP!
And of course…because my work friends are so sweet and want to fatten me up, I brought home a TON of Christmas goodies for us to cap off the night with.
I would absolutely run 2 a days ANYDAY to find my second stomach for all this deliciousness.
Quesiton of the night: What food would you run a two-a-day for just to make extra room?
When I’m at full strength, I work out two a days almost every day. Strength work over lunch, cardio after work. Summer, I’ll bike to and from work in addition. Jeff is a fantastic cook and I need all the workouts I can get to keep eating his food!
You are a beast! And you know I agree — we’re lucky ladies! The extra work outs are totally worth the amazing food made with love!

The food looks delish! And I think I’ve been dealing with dehydration issues as well! Although I do not think I’ve mastered the re-hydration just yet.
funnily enough…my husband’s lasagne! It is the best lasagne, and one of my favourite foods!

OMG that dessert box. Hello heaven! Hmmm I’d definitely run a two-a-day for desserts, but food wise, maybe a delicious mac and cheese? I never eat mac and cheese cause it’s just too decadent!
Zach LOVES mac and cheese but I never order it. I just grab it off his plate 🙂

That lasagna looks so good! As do the treats. 😉 I’d do 2-a-days for thick crust, mushroom/feta, pizza! Always pizza…. haha

LOL — totally aging yourself there, just saying. Although I loved Garfield growing up, so I guess I’m aging myself too.
Ha! I was obsessed with him as a kid. I kept writing letters to the author/artist who would send me back autographed drawings. I also learned to draw Garfield exactly. Been a long time since I thought about him though until your post. haha.
