Good Morning/Afternoon for my East Coast/European/Overseas friends!
I apologize for being so late — this morning kind of got away from me after an amazingly relaxing evening :).
How many people celebrated National Cookie Day yesterday? I enjoyed that Pumpkin Cookie like it was my job, without any shame! Although I have to admit, I celebrate National Cookie Day almost everyday without shame…
This Morning
Thanks to my late start Thursdays, I got to sleep in until 745 this morning :). I woke up slowly, and got myself to the gym by 8 for a quick short run/strength work out
Workout of the Day: 3 miles treadmill, full body strength
The 3 miles were just a warm up, and to keep up the consistency with the running :). For the strength portion, I did 3 short routines, one for abs, legs and arms. Overall it looked like this:
- 20 reverse crunches
- 20 cross crunches
- 20 leg raises
- 20 bicycles
- 30 flutter kicks
- 20 heel touches
- 60 second plank
- 20 supermen
- 20 squats
- 30 forward lunges
- 40 calf raises
- 50 second wall sit
- 100 jumping jacks
- 50 second wall sit
- 40 sumo squats
- 30 standing leg raises
- 20 squats
- 20 push ups
- 20 triangle push ups
- 40 air punches
- 20 simultaneous arm lifts
- 20 push ups
- 20 triangle push ups
By the end of the work out, my body was nice and warmed up, pushed well, and not OVERLY pushed. I loved it. Quick, full body, and sweaty. Just like I like it 🙂
And now it’s time to get back to work 🙂 Happy Thursday all!
It’s the last day to enter the giveaway open until Thursday!

Question of the Day: Did you celebrate national cookie day? When was the last time you “celebrated” national cookie day? 😉
I didn’t know it was national cookie day yesterday, but I treated myself to a cookie spontaneously so maybe I knew intrinsically. 😉
Good intuition 🙂
The faux sushi looks so good.
It was pretty awesome!
No. I was lame and clearly don’t care enough about cookies because I didn’t know that it was their national day yesterday (until I read your post last night). I even had the opportunity to buy a cookie at Whole Foods. SHAME.
Great post! It’s this and your many other amazing posts that make you such a great part of the wordpress family…which is why I nominated you for the WordPress Family Award! http://livingleen.wordpress.com/
I’m so hungry now looking at that beautiful picture of sushi!
I want it for dinner again tonight!
I got a dolly mixtures cookie!
I haven’t heard of these but I already approve 🙂
Didn’t realise they were a British thing! http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dolly_mixture
Looks good to me!
I’m stealing this strengthening series for this afternoon, thanks for sharing in advance 🙂
You’re welcome! Let me know how you like it 😉
I honestly can’t remember the last time I had a cookie. Although the lady at the store the other day giving away free tastes of fancy chocolate wine did convince me to buy a bottle – tastes like chocolate milk with a kick, and was only $2.99!
Oh man I’ve had that stuff before…can’t drink it! Toos weet lol
Your hitting up some awesome workouts! awesome job!
I didn’t know it was national cookie day….might have to go bake some now 🙂 It’s been a while since I’ve had a cookie…mainly because we’ve been eating cake and cupcake for almost a week! I had to freeze some just to get a break! 🙂
LOL That’s a good problem to have!
What? National Cookie Day? How did I not know this?? 🙂 Can’t say that I participated.
My husband didn’t know about it either — I should have spread the word 😉
One of my friends and I heard it was national cookie day and I thought it would be great to make cookies! However, I got held up late at work so that didn’t pan out. I made cookies for our board game night on Friday though, so we eventually had our cookies. 🙂
I’m all for making up for it 🙂
