I’ve had some silly things going on outside of the ol’ bloggosphear lately, so my brain is a bit scattered as of late.
Not always a bad thing, not always a good thing.
This morning I slept in until 9 AM. I do not know the last time I did this. Especially on a work day.
Not only did I sleep in, I managed to get to work early, be productive, drink some coffee, and start my day slowly.
I guess that’s what the first real snow will do to you.
Something about the s now feels like a fresh start . . . and that’s what I’m going for here.
Have a great Thursday everyone 🙂
Question of the Morning: Do you like snow? Does it signify anything for you?
I like snow if I’m indoors, looking out. I really don’t like driving in it 😦
Oh no driving in it is the worst!
Isn’t it? Gah!
In Georgia the threat of snow forces everything closed and all grocery store shelves (including convenience stores) empty. Have a great day.
LOL — I have definitely heard of places where even the IDEA of snow causes people to go into hibernation and prepare for the apocalypse. Too funny 🙂
To me snow means stillness and, somewhat paradoxically, freedom. I love being out in the morning on the day of a big snow. There are fewer people around, all sounds seem muted and the world looks clean and still. The feeling of freedom comes from my childhood, when snow meant no school and a day of raucous sledding!
You’re so right…I remember the blizzard Chicago got a few years ago. There was something SO peaceful about the days after..
love the snow!
🙂
I won’t lie, I don’t miss battling the winter snow in KC…but I do miss the feeling you describe! Those quiet mornings where you wake up to a fresh snow are pretty great.
Couldn’t agree more!
Such a beautiful photo 🙂
I LOVE snow….it signifies a lot for me. I worked at an Outdoor Centre for 5 winters teaching skiing, snowshoeing, camping etc. When it snow’s I’m reminded of all the people I’ve met, program’s I’ve tough and experiences I had with friends and family. I can’t wait for our first snow fall on the east coast 🙂
That would be such a dream job!
It was…I loved it!
LOVE snow! But that’s probably because I don’t live where we get it a lot. To me it’s super romantic 🙂
I agree, romantic is such a great way of describing it!
I’ll echo what others said and say I like it as long as I’m not driving in it. It makes the world seem quieter, I guess, or more peaceful. And I left early this morning and made it in a reasonable amount of time, so I’m going to be optimistic and hope that’ll be a good strategy to avoid being stuck on I-25 in the months to come.
Oh me and I-25 do not get along…no way. Snow or no snow!
Snow is pretty. However… I don’t like dealing with it haha. I don’t enjoy driving and commuting in it. I don’t enjoy the cold and ice. I don’t like the salt stains all over my shoes and pants. So I guess you could say I prefer other seasons to winter
Snow!!! you’re so lucky, I want snow so bad 🙂
LOL — I’d be happy to share!
I grew up in Ohio, I don’t need anymore snow! Thankfully we usually only get it about once or twice a year down here. The only time I want to see it is if I’m skiing!
You know we love skiing! And my uncle lives down in Texas, I remember a couple Christmas’s ago when yall got quite a bit of show, the place shut DOWN. Too funny 🙂
Yesn one snowflake and every office and school gets closed (except mine).
LOL I love the except mine — always seems that way.
The first snow is amazing, the second one is nice. After that I usually start to grumble. But I do love sitting next to a fire while it’s snowing out.
LOL that is SO funny because it is SO true! 🙂
I like snow for like a hour then I’m done. Haha I’m a huge wimp
haha I understand that!
I actually do like snow. Went for my first run of the season in it today. I like being the first one to make footprints!
I haven’t gotten a run in the snow yet this year — but I hope to do it sometime this winter!
Its cool when it first lays (Get chance to make epic snow men/ladies), but over here everything stops with a bit of snow….If its late, cold, and icy, I hate it. I dislike sliding around! I’m somewhat dreading it, since I’ve never ran in it.
Oh I am not a fan of ice, for sure!
Snow is nice because even a little bit means that school either starts late or gets closed. :p The worst is when school is in session but driving there is treacherous. We live on a giant hill that often gets closed down when it snows, so I have to find other ways around.
I cant even imagine as a parent!
