I was so excited to tell you all about our fashionable evening that I didn’t even mention my WOD and run this morning.

Perfect running shoes
After a late evening, and a couple cocktails, I was surprised to wake up feeling fairly good.
I have been working on intentionally hydrating and getting more water in, and I think that is a big reason that, while I’ve had a little more fun than normal, I have still been able to kick out some good workouts.
H20 + Nuun = good for this runner.
Workout of the Day: 4 miles speed work on the treadmill
The workout was all over the place, but I felt strong so I just kind of went with it. Here is what I remember:
- 1 mile warm up (about 945 pace)
- An 800 at about 800 pace
- 400 recovery @ 945 pace
- 10 minutes: 1 minute at 8.0 pace, 1 minute at 6.1 pace
- Finish out varying between 6.4 and 8.0
- Finished at 35:30 for 4 miles
Then did brief upper body work and was NICE and sweaty
yesterday’s picture, but I felt strong once again today
Overall, a good, quick and sweaty work out. My favorite
Pile On the Miles Update
With a 1 mile walk Friday, 6.6 mile run yesterday, and 4 mile run today, I’m up to 38.85 miles for November.
My goal for the month is 100, so I know I will be pushing it. . . but just knowing how high my goal was is challenging me to get out there and move!
At this point…I think I am bowing out of Officially doing Piper’s 30 day thigh challenge. I will continue to do it on days that I can fit it in, but the two challenges combined were starting to interfere with one another (my legs aren’t going to want to run as that thigh challenge got further).
I will still absolutely do some of the workouts though. . . so I’ll keep you up to date when I do!
Alright, back to relaxing 🙂
I’ll be back later with an old favorite: Silent Sunday!
Question of the Afternoon: How are you doing with your healthy goals/challenges this November?
Good luck with reaching 100 miles in the month! Sure you will do it though! 🙂
I’m looking forward to another week of the Couch to 5K plan, although it looks rather scarey!
Can I ask what Nuun is?
Nuun is a supplement that you put in water. It’s similar to like a gatorade, but they are tablets that come in a little tube and you just add them to water. No sugar or any of that scary stuff that a lot of sports drinks have.
I love your tattoo! I’m getting a new one as my post-race present to myself 🙂
I am in love with it 🙂
Love your shoes 🙂
They’re my babies! If only they didn’t hurt so much!
I’m not hitting the mileage for Pile on the Miles I first intended BUT it was a slow week and I know I can have a better one this week. Nice job on the speed work!
Thanks! 🙂 And keep it up for POTM!
I think you can make it to 100! Break that down & it’s only 25/week! Easy brezzy right? I’m doing POTM too and it is pretty motivating. So far I’m on schedule for my goal.
Thanks for the motivation 🙂
You can totally do the 100 miles! I just know it!
I’m surprised, I’m still doing the thigh challenge. I thought for sure that I would forget about it…hmm I definitely should add up my miles cause I have NO IDEA where I’m at!
LOL I had to prioritize one or the other, and at this point POTM was what worked best for me!
Just do the whole challenge in one day, then you can rest the rest of the month.
I was able to keep up with my training goals this weekend despite the rearrangement due to travel!
haha the 100 miles in one day or the thigh challenge? Either way I think I might lose my legs if I do that! But I must say way to keep up with training, being a TV star and all this weekend!
Haha, thanks!
