Happy Friday everyone! Another week in the books, and I could NOT be looking forward to it more than I am right now. Just need to get through one more work day, and we’re golden! 🙂
This Morning
Ahhh even though I am not training for anything specific right now, I have chosen to leave my Friday’s as rest days to leave my options open for longer/more challenging weekend work outs.
Let’s just say I took full advantage of my rest day this morning, and slept in until the sun was way up.
Workout Round Up
I am happy with how I did work out wise this week, pretty much right on with sticking to the schedule. Gotta love that.
Here’s what was planned for me:
- Monday: Full body WOD
- Tuesday: 3.5 miles, speed work
- Wednesday: Full body WOD or cross training on the bike
- Thursday: 3.5 miles, outdoors or speedwork
- Friday: YOGA/REST
- Saturday: Short run and skiing (likely)
- Sunday: 5 miles and short bike ride
And here’s what I did:
- Monday: Full body WOD (10 min treadmill, 100 push ups, 200 sit ups, 300 squats, 5 minutes treadmill)
- Tuesday: 3.5 speed miles
- Wednesday: 10-10-10 (10 minutes speed treadmill, 10 miles bike, 10 minutes cool down treadmill)
- Thursday: 3.5 miles speed work
- Friday: YOGA/REST
- Saturday: Short run and skiing (likely)
- Sunday: 5 miles and short bike ride
It’s looking like our weekend could get switched around because at the moment Zach isn’t feeling skiing this weekend (I know, I checked to make sure he didn’t have a fever)…in which case we’d probably run together tomorrow, then I’d do some kind of recovery work out Sunday. You all know I’ll keep you up to date 🙂
Question of the Morning: What will be the highlight of your weekend coming up?
Saturday’s cocktail event Zach and I are going to, for sure 🙂
OMG I’m going to be incredibly jealous if you go skiing! Make a mini snowman for me, okay? Pretty please?
This weekend (aside from running) I’m going to the movies with my parents and Kyle for my mom’s bday. Yes, her celebration continues. And I’m also meeting up with some girlfriends for lunch and wine tasting for 2 of their bdays!
Lunch and wine tasting? I want to play I want to play!
And PS: I totally like Mom’s style. Way to do it!
Come play!!!
Haha yes, mom totally knows how to get the maximum amount of celebrating per birthday.
I have the weekend with my girls which is always fun, hubby is still away 😦 But I have a soccer game Sat and Lilly and I have parent/tot soccer on Sunday – so that will be a lot of fun.
Sunday is World Run Day (which I didn’t know until a few minutes ago)…so I’ll be getting in a run….and it’s my wedding anniversary (though my husband will likely not be home – BIG bummer).
enjoy your weekend!
Awwe hun I’m so sorry your hubby will be gone for your anniversary! Zach was in London for our last anniversary AND my Birthday — it’s tough! I’ll be thinkin about you!
Sounds fun!!! We’re going to a housewarming party tonight and a friend’s baby dedication on Sunday. Hopefully just hanging out & relaxing too.
Hanging out and relaxing is normally the highlight of any weekend for me 😉
I think you know my highlight of the coming weekend!
Which mountain do you usually ski? I did Winter Park before. Good times.
Winter Park is our go-to….or A Basin. Good taste, my friend.
300 squats! Sweet Baby Jesus, that is impressive! I’m looking forward to a Target run this weekend and coffee with my girlies. Oooh and the Monday Veteran’s holiday is happening so I will be sleeping in.
Oh I love me some Target!
love the 5 mile Sunday, that’s my distance!
What time do you usually wake up to run? I need to get into the routine of running before work…. but I need motivation. What motivates you?
During the work week, and now that I’m running shorter distances, I have my alarm set for 555 and am normally down and running before 620-625…and really I am pretty self motivated. I know I am MUCH less likely to run after work, but I also know how much better my entire day is when I start it off with a good work out, so that normally is enough to get me out of bed. Most days, lol.
Highlight of my weekend: going camping tomorrow in southern Minnesota… I hear there is snow on the ground at the campground! It will be chilly! Hoping to do some hiking as well on the trails. It’s a nice change from running so we’ll see how my legs feel!
How fun is that!!
Can’t wait to here about the cocktail event!
