A homemade soup with a bunch of fresh vegetables , chicken and soul warming broth including:

  • fresh green pepper
  • green onions
  • carrots
  • celery
  • chicken breast
  • green chilies
  • kidney beans
  • chicken broth
  • water
  • herbs/spices

Thank you, husband, for taking such great care of me when I’m down :).

Oh — and great night for STL Fans!

GO BLUES AND GO CARDS!

Way to hand it to the Blackhawks — and way to go Cards.  Bring it home in the NLCS!

Now, if you’ll excuse me.  It’s time to enjoy the second half of my favorite sick meal.  A cool cup of ice cream.  🙂

Question of the night:  Are there foods from your childhood that you ate when you were sick?

Around my house, it was always minestrone vegetable soup and mint chocolate chip ice cream.

  1. Homemade broth when you are sick is the best! My mom and grandmother used to make matzo ball soup when I was sick with alphabet noodles – oh man – just the thought is making me homesick and nostalgic 😛

  2. Garlic bread is the cure for everything! Followed up with a hot bowl of Ravinelli’s Minestrone soup and some Baskin & Robbins Chocolate Chip Mint Icecream for the finale. Works miracles every time. Made me smile to think that you remembered…Feel better!
