Thank you, husband, for taking such great care of me when I’m down :).
Oh — and great night for STL Fans!
GO BLUES AND GO CARDS!
Way to hand it to the Blackhawks — and way to go Cards. Bring it home in the NLCS!
Now, if you’ll excuse me. It’s time to enjoy the second half of my favorite sick meal. A cool cup of ice cream. 🙂
Question of the night: Are there foods from your childhood that you ate when you were sick?
Around my house, it was always minestrone vegetable soup and mint chocolate chip ice cream.
Homemade broth when you are sick is the best! My mom and grandmother used to make matzo ball soup when I was sick with alphabet noodles – oh man – just the thought is making me homesick and nostalgic 😛
From my childhood: Chicken broth for sure, also toast and a little sprite.
Oh yes sprite was a big one. And garlic bread.
Garlic bread when you’re sick? That sounds awesome!
I mean 7-up. 🙂
awwwa feel better. i’d probably go for mac ‘n cheese!
Mac and cheese — now THAT’S interesting.
Garlic bread is the cure for everything! Followed up with a hot bowl of Ravinelli’s Minestrone soup and some Baskin & Robbins Chocolate Chip Mint Icecream for the finale. Works miracles every time. Made me smile to think that you remembered…Feel better!
Of course I remembered 🙂 I still miss it — and miss you guys of course 🙂
That looks super yum. And GO CARDS!!!! Oh my gosh what a great game last night.
Feel better soon sweetpea.
Soup- any kind that I would eat (I was/am a picky eater so my mom would try anything to get food in my tummy).
Soup is a cureall I swear!
It really is. Sometimes soup cheers me up when I’m not even sick!
My mom made what we called Chicken and Noodles. It was mashed potatoes topped with egg noodles and boiled chicken – as well as the broth from boiling the chicken and onions.
That actually sounds awesome right now — even at 945 AM.
Nothing is better than soup! Hope you feel better soon! 🙂
I’m on my way to getting better — So many healthy vibes sent my way don’t know how I couldn’t!
