Happy Friday Morning Everyone — another week in the books.
I’ve got to run to a resource fair for work this morning, but I didn’t want to forget about you all, of course.
I wasn’t feeling too hot last night, but did get some good R and R, which helped relieve my headache. Still not 100%, but definitely showing improvement.
I knew I needed to take it easy, because it is a rest day but also because I haven’t been feeling great. A cold nasty morning here in Denver was perfect for some yoga.
Workout of the Morning: Seated Hatha Yoga
It was exactly what I needed and helped to start my day on a balanced food 🙂
And as for my workouts of the week, they may not have gone exactly as planned, but I did fit everything in, which is what matters most to me :).
Workout Round of Up the Week:
Here is what was planned for the week on Monday:
- Monday: 10 miles bike, 30 minutes strength
- Tuesday: 5 mile run
- Wednesday: STRENGTH / Yoga
- Thursday: 5 mile run
- Friday: REST
- Saturday: 13 mile run — EESH
- Sunday: Recovery run/bike
And here’s how everything panned out:
- Monday: 10 miles stationary bike and 30 minutes strength training
- Tuesday: 5 mile treadmill speed run
- Wednesday: 5 mile outdoor hilly run
- Thursday: 10 miles stationary bike and 20 minutes strength training
- Friday: Yoga
- Saturday: 13.1 mile training long run
- Sunday: Recovery run/bike
Still planned
My Maid of Honor is in town for the weekend, so I am planning on meeting up with her whenever she is free, which also means I may need to be a little flexible with this weekends work outs. Quite frankly, I’m OK with that. As long as I get some miles in, I’m prioritizing Zoe :).
And that, my friends, has been my week! Another one in the books 🙂
Question of the Morning: Did you have a good week? What was your favorite workout?
I SAW SNOWFLAKES. Not cool lol
I feel special 🙂 I have been so busy this week that I haven’t ran since saturday, though I had a GREAT run saturday, so I’m still happy about that. I’m going to run on the treadmill today (since its snowing here!!!) And tomorrow zach and I are going to run at boyd lake which he says is beautiful, so I’m really looking forward to that!
I hope you’re getting better by the minute! A question for you: what benefits do you get out of yoga? I’m horrible at sitting still and relaxing, but everyone and their mother is in love with yoga and is telling me to try it!
I love yoga because — most days — it calms me and really relieves my tired little runners legs. It is also great for strength building, even though it may not seem like it! Looks at yogi’s bodies, they’re full on muscle! I used to LOVE hot yoga, but I do sometimes struggle in those classes because of my craziness.
Oh ok, I like the calm and tired runner legs part. I guess I have to try it if my twin likes it…
It really does help — now I just hope you like it if you try it 😉
I didnt do my morning yoga today because i studied instead. You made me realize i can di it anytime. I hope youre feeling better soon!
You absolutely can — you have to prioritize! I’m feeling a little better, still definitely under the weather but nothing awful. Thanks for checking, you’re so sweet 😉
Have fun on the 13 miles!
Fingers crossed I’m feeling better by tomorrow! This Denver weather is throwing us all for a loop.
We’ve had a rough week here 😦 We’ve all been sick and I haven’t worked out once…other then walking. I’m pumped for the weekend as I’m in a soccer tournament (indoors) so I think I’ll get my fill of workouts in! Have a great weekend!
An indoor tournament, you DEFINITELY will get your workouts! haha. Take care of yourself — gotta be healthy! 🙂
I was with Piper’s Run this week, but this morning was a nice run in sunny, cold weather, weights, and yoga. Had to make up for my missed sessions. 🙂
Hope that means you’re feeling much better 🙂
Yes, thanks!
