It’s that time again 🙂 Time for my round up and Friday Favorites of the Week!
Favorite Run
I’d have to say My Treadmill 10k to be honest
I really wanted it to be outdoors — but the Colorado heat wasn’t on my side that day. Either way, it felt very easy in comparison to other runs lately and I ended feeling very strong. Always an awesome feeling 🙂
Favorite Treat
My surprise find of the week: Starburst Candy Corn! Hello Halloween candy season!! My favorite time of year 🙂
Favorite Eat
My favorite eats of the week were probably our Double Date night at La Loma , but our Mexican night at home put up a GOOD fight.
Favorite Moment
My parents shared some exciting news with me this week — and that is probably the moment that stands out most for me. Unfortunately, I have to be vague about it for the time being — but everyone send positive and happy vibes their way for me, OK? 🙂
And of course: I wouldn’t leave you all without some highlights from the week of eats.
Pretty spectacular eats if I do say so myself 🙂 Anyone drooling yet?
And finally — Five Friday Favorites
- Apples! – I am LOVING everything apple with the new apple season 🙂
- Being Married — I have a pretty stellar husband 🙂
- The Blog — I’ve had some great people reach out to me via the blog this week — and just feel lucky to have started this little blog 🙂
- Hot coffee — the cool mornings have made my morning cup of joe that much more enjoyable
- Red wine — The cool weather has also brought with it my love for a glass of red wine. So relaxing.
And that my friends, is my Friday round up.
Question of the Afternoon: One word highlight or favorite from this week 🙂
Joy.
I LOVE that wedding photo with your hubby coming out of the grass behind you!! Too cute
How funny does he look there? Hysterical
10Ks are awesome! A good distance for getting a really good workout. Great job!! Don’t know what I’m gonna do come snow? I’ve never run on a treadmill before, though my good for nothing, lazy-assed friend (not really, lol) loves his for walking – maybe strolling (he’s NOT running) … and while watching Judge Judy too, lol.
LOL — the TV is what makes me get through the treadmill. It’s mindless which makes it easier for the miles to tic by for me!
… that’s what HE says – he needs his TV … just don’t know why he had to throw in the JJ comment? Dude’s in his mid-fifties btw, lol!
LOL — yeah can’t say I’ve watched Judge Judy — but I do watch a lot of news and Food Network!
… EXACTLY!! The Food Network is the best (news rules too!)!! 😀
Makes running an extra mile seem TOTALLY worth it when you’re watching all the delicious food on the TV 🙂
😆
Haha love that pic of you in the car.
Highlight of my week was going to the Giants game with Kyle. Lowlight (is that a thing?) of my week was waking up the morning after…
HAHA — I am the biggest baby IN THE WORLD with hang overs. Like useless.
This post made me way hungry. Your food this week looks amazing! (Love your blog, BTW!)
Thanks for the blog love, I REALLY appreciate it! 🙂 It was a pretty great week for food, I’ve gotta admit 🙂
Thanks for visiting my blog, Joy. I’ve recently become a runner myself. Been running for about 6 months. Considering that I hated all things running when I was younger, I believe this is a great feat for me. Happy running!
I HATED running before I started about 2 years ago myself — and now it’s my passion! Crazy how that happens 🙂
Candy corn sho nuff be confectionary awesomeness. Starburst candy corn? speechless. What’s next Now or Later candy corn? Swedish Fish candy corn?
Unfortunately, I would pick up all of those. Sad but true.
You’re lucky, it’s still in the mid 90’s here. Hoping for red wine weather soon!
The rain and dark have made red wine that much more enjoyable.
I can’t do a full on run but I am doing the Couch 2 5K program and when I was doing it I actually hungered to go for a run. Moved to a new city (Yay Pittsburgh! I know you’re a Cards fan- boo! :-P) and couldn’t find a good route that was close to me (not yet). So I’ve just been weight training and losing good weight. But last night I had a dream I ran for 30 minutes without dying in between and that was an indicator that I missed it. It’s starting to get colder so I may have to go without running for a while but I look forward to running, OUTSIDE again next year. 🙂
Hey weights are amazing! Our bodies need strength training to get stronger! Good for you!
What? Starburst candy corn!! I must go to the store immediately.
You must! I promise you won’t be disappointed — thank me later 🙂
Loving the cooler CO weather coming. But I am terrible at dressing for 45 degree runs. And your margaritas looked fantastic!
