When I left you all last I was stinky and hungry.
I promised Zach I wouldn’t embarrass him TOO much with my post-workout glow, so I jumped in the shower while he thought about what we would do for breakfast.
Zach and I have gotten pastries and coffee from Gallop quite a few times and highly recommend them, but today was only our second time sitting down for a meal.
The Menu is actually pretty extensive and includes a lot of breakfast and lunch options.
Gallop is a place that I could imagine studying in all morning when I was a student, or going to for hours with my computer and working if I worked from home. It just has a laid back vibe.
This morning I was feeling lunch — so I went with the half sandwich and salad option. With the Turkey stop and caesar salad.
I may have been feeling lunch, but definitely still needed coffee after my workout.
The food came out quickly and was absolutely perfect 🙂
The caesar salad was creamy, crisp, and full of parmesan cheese. And the sandwich had a creamy coleslaw and swiss cheese that was a great balance with the lean turkey. Not to mention the bread. YUM.
Two meals in a row we’ve been able to eat on an outdoor patio. Thank you Denver weather for making a turn around :). And Happy First Day of fall to all 🙂
We ran a couple errands after breakfast, including grocery shopping. I don’t think you’ll ever see the two of us go through a grocery store without ice cream, peanut butter, and Crofter’s Raspberry spread. Staples in the Jara household.
When we got back, Gusman and I went for a nice walk. . . I enjoyed the quasi cool air while Gus enjoyed the sniffs.
And the rest of our afternoon has been spent on the couch reading and enjoying football in the background.
I love Sundays 🙂
Question of the Day: Do you have any Sunday rituals?
During football season and fall, it’s all about relaxing with the doors open and football in our household 🙂
Cute cuddle pic! I drank wine two nights this weekend and ate not so healthy but I went on the longest run today. So I’m a happy girl.
that’s great! it’s all about balance 🙂 how long was your run?
I’m not for sure distance wise. I have all of this exercise apps that could keep track of that for me but of course I never use them. I feel like it would subtract from my enjoyment of the run itself. Maybe that’s silly. But it lasted for a good hour. I took some breaks and laid in the grass soaking up the sun. It’s perfect weather here in nebraska right now!!
distance isn’t what’s always important! that sounds like an amazing workout! Perfect 🙂
thanks girl! i want to follow one of your workout plans this week and see how it goes.
awwwe that’s awesome! let me know if you do and how you like it!
Gallop looks so cute!!! Pippa and I walk/run by it almost every day because they have water bowls in front of the patio for dogs. She usually sniffs whatever is on the table too!! Haha.
haha — there was an adorable lab that sat next to us this morning. next time we plan to sit outside, we will definitely bring gusman! if he’s behaving that is. . .
