Good Morning and happy Monday Tuesday all!
Zach and I spent the evening relaxing and soaking up the last bit of quiet before the AMAZING storm of the wedding begins.
We watched Mud, a movie starring Matthew McConnaughey about two young boys who find a homeless man, Mud, (McConnaughey) living in an abandoned boat in a tree on an island near their home. The story follows the boys getting to know and trying to help Mud and his story, which includes a lot of tumultuous love and murder.
Our movie night included a couple of the delicious cookies that I will be posting about later today
Yum!
I woke up this morning really wanting to stay curled up in bed and continue vacation, but did talk myself into the gym by about 630 this morning for a quick and easy run.
Workout of the Day: 4.21 mile recovery run
- Steady run at 6.1-6.5 pace
- 1 minute at 8.0-8.1 every 5 minutes
- Run until 4.0 miles, then walk at 3.7 pace and 8% incline until 40 minutes for 4.21 miles
My legs REALLY loosened up during the first 10 minutes of my run, but my stomach did not.
Unfortunately, while delicious, I don’t think the cookies were good pre-run fuel.
Oh well…you know that won’t stop me from eating them :).
And now. . . I just want to leave you with one thing
4 days! My 4 day list includes:
- write vows…yeah nothing like waiting until last minute on THAT one.
- finish details with our cake
- get rehearsal dinner dress
- wax eyebrows
- get nails done
- Be In LOOOOOOOOVE! 🙂
Question of the Day: Anything else I need to include on my last minute list of things to do?
Mud was an interesting movie!
Yeah I didn’t really know what I thought about it for most of the film. . . but I’d say it was worth renting.
I was going to ask how the movie was! Do you recommend it?
It was Zach’s choice and he really liked it — I would say it was worth watching, but know that it’s an odd and sometimes slow film.
Good to know! Thank you 🙂 Home stretch, by the way! WOOO
Maybe a nice bubble bath for some relaxing in between some of the to-do’s before I do’s 🙂 I wish y’all all the happiness you can handle!!
I watched Mud this weekend too! I had never even heard of it, but I liked it. I just love Reese Witherspoon! 🙂
Not having been married or even in any weddings, I probably don’t have any practical advice lol, but it’s always a good thing to take a couple moments this week to sit back and just enjoy this pre-wedding excitement. You’ll look back and miss it!
You are so right! It goes by in such a flash!
Don’t you wish homeless men actually looked like that??
Amen!
Darn, I was hoping cookies would be good pre-run fuel! There goes my ideal fueling situation. Hope your tummy is better!
Love the last bullet on your list 🙂 Just remember to sit back and enjoy the experience during the chaos. I’ve never been married, but I do have a tendency to get lost in the planning and forget to enjoy the ride.
It’s getting better — the cookies are totally worth an AM tummy ache :).
And thanks for your advice! I am not someone who “stops to smell the roses” very naturally…so especially in these moments I need all the reminders I can get. 15 months has already flown by, so I know 4 days will as well!
So soon!!! AHH!!!! Also, Mud was filmed here in AR 🙂 Happy wedding week!!!
I would say you forgot to add “15 minutes of doing absolutely nothing” to your list. Relaxation is a must when you’re that busy and working out that hard. Wishing you the best on your special day! 🙂
Love this! It’s so true!
Remember to sit back and just relax for 5 minutes with Zach during the lead up to your wedding. And the day of your wedding, stop and look around, take it all it…it goes by so fast. Hope you have a great week!
We are going to try! I know how important it is to just let myself soak it all in!
