Remember The Time . . .

So this afternoon I’m linking up to Emily and Ashley’s Remember the Time . . . 

This week is wild-card with a Back in the day theme.  As I was listening to my ipod on my run this morning, I knew I had my post.

My music.

My music is embarrassingly back in the day, especially what I run to.  Honestly – I’m almost ashamed to write this and admit to my poor taste in running music to you all, but I’m confident you won’t judge me so here it goes.

1. NSYNC

I’m almost not ashamed to admit this.  And then I see them in overalls and I’m reminded I probably should be at least a little ashamed.  Their little Osh Kosh outfit was probably VERY cute in the 90’s.  Today’s NSYNC  song: I Want You Back.  What a beat….

2. Spice Girls

Ok this one I am ashamed to admit.  Does anyone remember the SHOES those women wore?  At 5 feet tall, I have to admit that I was always a little bit jealous that my parents wouldn’t let me get a pair (thank you parents.  I have the grace of a 2 year old).  Today’s Spice Girls Song: Wannabe

3.  Jock Jams 

I still claim that even though this is from “back in the day” that this stuff is darn good running material.  Who doesn’t love some Pumpin’ Up the Jam with some Tootsie Roll?  Have the whole album, and love it!  Today’s Jock Jam song: Whoomp! There It Is by Tag Team

4. Marky Mark

I know he is a serious hunk  actor now. . . but I still love him for his Funky Bunch underwear wearing days.  Today’s Marky Mark Song: Good Vibrations

5. Boys II Men

Voices of angels I tell ya. And while these guys are probably Men II Old Men now, I will never forget their heyday.  And come on, I see some support for my STL Cardinals in that picture, more reason to love.  Today’s Boy’s II Men song: Motown Philly

6. Will Smith

Although I have enjoyed one or two of Will’s movies (maybe I should be embarrassed to admit that as well?), he really peaked with his rapping days.  Come on, Miami? Men In Black? Some SERIOUS Top 100 power there.  And look at that puff jacket.  Good stuff.  Today’s Will Smith Song: Getting Jiggy With It

This list really could go on for as long as you all would let me, so I’ll stop it with six.
