I’m so glad people liked the 100′s.
The post got me thinking yesterday though…
100’s are perfect when you have 20 minutes, but what about if you only have 2 minutes?
Why not squeeze in little bursts of exercise in wherever you can through out the day.
Commercial break – Hold a plank.
5 minutes between clients at work – do 25 push ups
On the phone – hold a wall sit.
The options are endless. I took this as a challenge to myself for the second half of the day yesterday and manage to squeeze in.
- 100 second plank + 10 hip dips
- 25 calf raises
- 25 squats
- 50 second side plank L and R
- 50 crunches
- 50 bridges
Just when I was bored.
This seems like a fun challenge to me. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still be doing lots of 100’s, but I thought this might be fun. What do you all think? For a week, I’m going to try and throw in some random exercises when I’m bored, and I’ll keep track of them daily on here. Obviously, feel free to do the same!
I slept better than I have in awhile last night, so I woke up pretty refreshed. Zach and I are planning to go to a yoga class tonight, so I wanted to give my body a nice stretch this morning in preparation.
Workout For the Morning (day will be complete later): 45 minute Yoga video
And in the spirit of this new challenge, I started my morning with
- 25 oblique crunches (L and R)
- 25 push ups (REAL STYLE!)
- 25 squats
And now it’s off to work. Today is a closed day, so no clients. What does that mean?
Sweats and leggings to work
And…I’m undercover prepared for yoga tonight
Alright! 🙂
Have a great day everyone!
Question of the Day: Anybody else interested in squeezing in a little strength training through out the day with me? Anybody do this already and how?
I love this idea! I need to try and fit in more little workouts throughout the day. It really adds up!
It really does! And I have no excuse when I just have to take 2 minutes that I’d be doing nothing anyway!
I do this too! My favorite quick exercise is jumping jacks – I LOVE them! I’ll do 100 at a time which only takes a few minutes. Holding a plank also works well for me. One exercise I’ve been wanting to add in is push-ups because I tend to neglect my arms. Now I will – pushups TODAY!
Love it! And good call about the jumping jacks. I can absolutely throw in some jumping jacks or mountain climbers in randomly and get my heart rate pumping!

I am going to have to try the random challenge as well. I really need to get in shape, but have no motivation…
This little challenge is a great place to start. You only need a few minutes to squeeze in a quick set of exercises whenever you have time! And reach out anytime you need motivation! I do it all the time :). Let me know if I can help!
I am in track for school and I quickly realized how terrible I was… So my goal is to become way better, but that means I am going to have to get off my butt and go on runs and stuff haha..
Goodness if your in track for school I bet you are in much better shape than I am 😉 !
Oh I can guarantee that I am not haha. I haven’t placed yet! :(.
I’m sure you’re already much further than you realize! Let me know how I can help if you need motivation 🙂 I put out the word on twitter last night when I needed it, it helps! haha
Thanks! :). I know I am going on a run later, but I am camping this weekend, so I am hoping there are some nice paths for a good run there.
