Warning: wedding and picture heavy post! 🙂
This morning was our final walk through at Boettcher Mansion.
Oddly enough, Colorado has forgotten that it is Summer, and gave us overcast skies and temperatures in the 50’s and 60’s this morning. Thankfully, even though Denver was cold and rainy, Boettcher was sunny and beautiful.
(Before I get to it, I want to point out once again our stationary theme. It’s just PERFECT with the entire Boettcher vibe).
Onto the meeting:
In true Ashley style, we got to our appointment early, so we had plenty of time to walk around and take pictures.
The main mansion, and view as you drive into Boettcher.
This entry way is how you come through to the main grounds, to actually enter the mansion.
The flowers and greenery were absolutely beautiful today (another view of the entry way). We are hopeful that it’ll still be so bright and vibrant for our big day.
This is the walkway up to the main entrance, and another view of the mansion. The cocktail hour will be over to the right, following that rocked area (as long as the weather holds up).
Unfortunately, due to the poor lighting, I didn’t get too many outdoor pictures, but I pulled some that I found online to share with yall 🙂
This is the old carriage house. It’s to the left of the mansion, and a space that we can also utilize for cocktail, hair and make up in the morning, or any plan B bad weather. It’s so unique!
They also have a gazebo on the grounds for a great photo opportunity.
And this is just a view of what the outdoor patio space where the ceremony will take place looks like.
Ok…moving indoors 🙂
The fireside room, where the actual dinner and reception will be held. Beautiful.
Two of the three seating areas us ladies will have for prep and morning of fun 🙂
The beautiful and unique table they have for buffet, that we are actually utilizing for guests. Don’t want to hide that!
And finally…the fireside area, where our sweetheart table will be 🙂
Just a snippet of our amazing venue. There is so much more that I didn’t capture, I can’t wait for all of the professional pictures. I’m telling you, this place was made for photography.
The Nitty Gritty
Zach and I have been working really hard (especially Zach) on getting everything prepared for the wedding.
A little under a year ago, we went wedding crazy and established the big guns:
- venue
- caterer
- DJ/Band
- Photographer
Once we had these large decisions made, we went on a wedding hiatus, until about 6 months ago.
Around that time, it hit us that our wedding was QUICKLY approaching, and we got down to work on the smaller, important details
- Invites
- Bridesmaids/Groomsmen dress
- Zach’s custom suit
- Engagement shoot
- Alcohol
- Day of beauty
Our meeting today was all about getting all of these large details on paper, and then filling in the gaps with all of the minor details. To make sure that everyone is on the same page, and that everyone helps to create the day of our dreams. I’m SO thankful for this meeting — even though it was complete information overload, we were able to really iron out the details and make our wedding come alive.
I won’t bore you with details of the meeting, but I will say one thing. Now, I feel like we really have our wedding planned. All of the conversations today about the details, both the easy ones and the ones that made us think, created the complete picture that IS our wedding. It really is going to happen . . . and it’s going to be perfect. I just know it :).
30 days!
So exciting!! Congratulations!! 🙂
Thanks! I feel so cheesy with all these wedding posts, but I really am just beyond excited :).
So beautiful!!!You really picked a piece of heaven on earth!
